MP3 Player Helped Me Deal with Busted Car Receiver |

I didn’t see it coming but the other day after getting into my car the radio didn’t light up like it usually does. I clicked the power button and nothing. You can imagine the look on my face. I have never heard of a car receiver just dying. I have heard of wires in the back getting loose. Immediately, I got on the horn with a friend in the area who is really good with car problems. He loves audio electronics at home and on the road. He was working that day so we couldn’t meet up until the next evening.
I still had to go but before leaving, I ran back upstairs to grab the MP3 player. Driving in silence is no fun. Rolling out of the parking garage with the MP3 player headphones pumping The Eagles, on I went to pick up my girlfriend at work. Driving with an MP3 player was weird at first but it turned out to be pretty cool. The music is right there. It pretty much blocks out all that road noise going on behind the windows. When we pulled the receiver the next day, it turned out to be a wire short and the problem was saved with duct tape and wire stripers.
