home theater systemThere are some things that I have realized that my home theater system really comes in handy for aside from the obvious, which is: making watching movies awesome, creating the coolest sounds for when playing video games, and, of course, watching TV. But another thing that I love to use my home theater system for is testing out new tracks that my band records in the studio before they are sent to the mastering lab for the final run. Whenever I record new CDs in the studio, the most difficult process is the mixing of the final track so you can achieve the sound that you so desire from your recording efforts. One such way to really find out how your CD sounds is to play it on all sorts of different audio mediums. For me that always means that I pop the CD into my home theater system and really crank it up so I can get a great idea of what the levels are and what changes, if any, need to made to final product before pressing a few hundred of them for sale to our fans!
