A little while ago my husband called to tell me that the GPS navigation system that I ordered about a week ago has arrived. I asked him if he opened the box to see what he thought about the GPS navigation system, and he said that he did, plus he already had it plugged in and charging so that we could start learning how to use it soon.

I told him that it arrived at just the right time, since the cell phone that I had ordered from the cell phone store had arrived and we needed to go pick it up sometime within the next couple of days and could use the GPS navigation to lead us there, since I had no idea where the store was. He asked for the number to the store and said he'd call and get the address, that way he could add it to the GPS navigation when it was charged enough, so that as soon as we could get a satellite signal we could be on our way.

I admit that I was pretty curious at how well the GPS navigation was going to work. We have friends who have a GPS navigation system and swear that they can't find their way anywhere without them, so it will definitely be fun learning the ins and outs and being able to find places without having to ask for directions three or four times. I can't tell you how many times we've been given the wrong directions and ended up in neighborhoods that we were a little nervous about being in. Hopefully the GPS navigation would keep that from happening to us again.

I'm not sure why, other than I am a creature of habit and couldn't see how a GPS navigation would really benefit us, since we didn't really travel out of town that often. I think I may suggest to my husband that we pick up the phone after work, and while we are on our way, maybe we can stop and have dinner somewhere in the area. May as well have a little fun while we're out.
