<--iPod and iPhone Ready
It is pretty amazing when a company can create a line of products that become so popular and commonplace that other huge companies design products based around that first product. Case and point the iPod and iPhone. How many companies have gotten their start pumping out products that work with these Apple devices? Well, Pioneer can add their name to that list after releasing new receivers, which seamlessly integrate the Apple audio electronics. There are three different receivers all starting with VSX in their model name ranging from 300 dollars to 500 dollars that make playing iPod/iPhone media over the home theater system a breeze.
The Pioneer receivers have a front USB port and built in color menu allowing users to surf through the player’s content on a TV with the remote. Along with those features, the surround sound speakers will automatically mute if a song is playing off the connected iPhone when a call comes in. Pioneer also says that these receivers integrate new audio enhancement technology. I think the receivers look old school but it's not that big of a deal.
